[attr="class","container"] [attr="class","header"]General Information “Yes, let us run errands for the betterment of mankind as well as a few coppers." This will work something akin to a prompt system, so it will give you something to thread about, potentially with new people even, and you'll get a little extra reward for the effort. These aren't events in the traditional sense, as they aren't ran by staff (but may occasionally be monitored, depending on the circumstances), but are left in the hands of those who picked them up, who may do with them what they wish. That's not to say this is a free for all, of course. If you pick a 'quest' that would be dangerous for your character's rank/class (like an apostate taking a job that involved having to directly deal with templars), the chances of there being consequences are high. In a similar vein, taking something that doesn't befit your character's status or even personality will typically draw us to monitor the situation, at least a little. As much as we want this to be a fun little way to earn a bit extra, we don't like the idea of people straying into OOC for a few extra sovereigns. There will be many different types of quests we'll put up. Some will be very small ones that only require one person, which means you will be writing a oneshot post. Most require two to three people, but others require three or more ('party quests', if you will), and any participants that join are entirely up to the quest claimer – you can even make it an open thread, if you wish. In addition to maximum participant restrictions, there's also a difficulty level, of sorts – it will typically be more of a test of your ability as a RPer and fast thinker than your actual character's abilities, however. The number of ☆ determines how difficult a quest is, with one being 'easy' and four being 'nightmare'. The larger the challenge, the bigger the reward, however. [attr="class","header2"]Make Sure To Read These ☀ These are first come, first serve. This board will be updated periodically at random intervals with new quests, so keep an eye out. We will not warn people, nor give hints to when these show up. ☀ This thread is locked for a reason. You must PM either Dani or El with which quest you wish to claim. Include the name of the character you're claiming it with. Do not post this information on the cbox - if you do, your post will be deleted and you will be locked out of claiming that particular quest. If it happens twice, you'll be prevented from doing Chanter's Board quests entirely. ☀ If a quest specifies what area/city it's in, you must, obviously, abide by this. However, there are also generic quests which will not specify a location, and it can take place anywhere that would logically make sense for such a thing to be (ex: I'm pretty sure a pirate attack wouldn't be in a forest). ☀ If a quest has a red seal next to the description, that means it's been claimed. |
Reclamation Services (Maximum 2 Participants) ☆
There has been an influx of thefts in the city as of late, so much so that the Chantry as well as several interested nobles have taken it upon themselves to offer a reward for reclaimed items of importance. While we advise the cutpurses themselves be left to the guard, there are a few particularly interested parties who do not wish to wait until their beloved family heirlooms are already traded away. A reward will be given to anyone who anyone who can recover these goods and bring them back to the Chantry to hold onto.
Recluse Hunting (Minimum 3 Participants) ☆☆☆
There have been a rash of reports all around Gwaren of attacks of giant spiders. The Chantry has recently had to put far too many good souls to rest that were victims of these attacks, and the guard has difficulties even holding the line against them. As such, the Chantry has decided to offer a reward to any brave individuals who would seek out and destroy the nest of these creatures, which has been tracked to a particular area in the Brecilian forest. If this task is completed, come see the Revered Mother for your appropriate reward.
